About our Helpline:
Please note that we have a limited number of volunteers and,
therefore, we cannot always answer our helpline "live". If you
reach our voicemail system, please do the following:
- Speak SLOWLY and CLEARLY (if we cannot
understand your call-back number, we won't be able to return
your call).
- Provide your NAME (first name only is okay),
contact PHONE NUMBER, and TIME OF DAY or EVENING we can safely
return your call.
- If it's okay for us to leave a voicemail
message, PLEASE INDICATE SO (otherwise, we will not leave a
voicemail message).
Because your confidentiality is our utmost
concern:
- We WILL NOT leave a voicemail message UNLESS
you have indicated that it is okay to do so.
- We WILL NOT indicate who we are UNLESS we are
assured that you are the one who has answered the phone (by
asking for you specifically).
- We WILL ask you if it's an okay time to talk
when we call -- if it's not, then we'll call back another time
(or you can call us at your earliest convenience).
If you do not hear back from us within a
reasonable period of time after leaving your voicemail message,
PLEASE CALL US BACK! It's possible that we could not
understand the call-back number you left on your original voicemail
message. We DO return ALL calls!
