Education . . .

Education is the second objective in PFLAG's three-point mission.  PFLAG provides information that promotes respect, understanding and acceptance of LGBTQ people as healthy, normal, responsible, productive, loving and caring human beings.

At PFLAG Flagstaff, education is provided via the following local services and online resources:

Our monthly support meetings

PFLAG Flagstaff regularly discusses LGBTQ-related educational topics at our monthly support meeting.  We educate at our support meetings primarily through facilitator-led group discussion, film screenings, and sharing of various printed materials.

Community outreach

We educate the general public through our participation at various local events including educational outreach to the local high schools and the Flagstaff Unified School District, to Northern Arizona University's (NAU) LGBTQ Task Force, and to Flagstaff City Council.
