Support . . .

PFLAG Flagstaff provides support to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and "questioning" (GLBTQ) individuals, their parents, family members, and friends through a variety of avenues:

  • Via our monthly support meetings

  • Via confidential email messages and/or our confidential helpline

  • Via online supportive resources

Our monthly support meetings

PFLAG Flagstaff meets monthly on the second Sunday of every month, 3:00pm-5:00pm (doors open at 2:45pm).  Please contact us for meeting location information.

At our monthly support meetings, you'll also be able to explore our "lending library" of supportive, educational, and historical books on a wide variety of GLBT-related topics.  Books may be checked out for free -- we simply ask that you return them the following month so that others may benefit from them as well.

(Please note that we are unable to arrange transportation to/from our support meetings -- this is a necessary precaution for our volunteers and for liability purposes.)

Support via confidential email messages and/or our confidential helpline

Between monthly support meetings, we are happy to provide support directly via confidential email messages and/or via our confidential telephone helpline.  If we cannot assist you ourselves, we will do our best to find another PFLAG volunteer who can.  Please contact us regarding your situation if you cannot wait until the next scheduled monthly support meeting (or, if you will be unable to attend for other reasons).  If you plan to call our helpline, please be sure to read the helpline notice regarding how to leave voicemail messages and how we return calls.

Online supportive resources

Our sister chapter, PFLAG Phoenix, has a wealth of online supportive resources available to you 24 hours a day.  Included are online versions of PFLAG pamphlets, supportive articles, recommended reading lists, and the personal stories of people who've walked this journey before you.  We highly recommend that you explore these online resources, especially if you need support immediately (and no one has yet contacted you back from our chapter, and/or a monthly support meeting is not close at hand).  To visit PFLAG Phoenix's online support resources, please click here.
