Volunteer Opportunities with PFLAG Flagstaff:

If you are interested in any of the following volunteer opportunities with PFLAG Flagstaff, please contact us!

Out in the Community:

• March:  Attend Northern Arizona University's Equality Week -- tell people about PFLAG.
   

• April:  Attend Gala GSA (gay/straight alliance).
   

• June:  Volunteer at Pride in the Pines -- staff our PFLAG information table, hand out information, talk with people.
   

• September:  Volunteer at Pride on the Rocks in Sedona -- staff our PFLAG information table.
   

• October:  Support "Coming Out Day" at Northern Arizona University (NAU).

At PFLAG Flagstaff:

• Keep and update chapter membership records; send periodic information to PFLAG National.
   

• Check chapter voicemail daily and return calls.
   

• Pick up chapter postal mail and distribute to appropriate chapter volunteers.
   

• Greet support meeting attendees; set up meeting room; provide refreshments.
   

• Coordinate guest speakers and programs for monthly support meetings.
   

• Coordinate public relations.

Other Volunteer Opportunities:

	Northern Arizona Pride Association Our mission is to educate, celebrate and increase acceptance and awareness of the LGBTQ community of Flagstaff and northern Arizona.  Through the production of our annual Pride in the Pines festival, we aspire to make a positive difference in the LGBTQ reality while creating a sense of community. It is our mission to embrace, promote, and support our cultural diversity, civil, and human rights by fighting discrimination of any kind.
	PEAKS Pride PEAKS stands for: Promoting Equality through Acts of Kindness and Service.  Its mission is to provide volunteers for service projects to the Flagstaff and Northern Arizona communities.  PEAKS Pride plans to provide and sustain a community center for the benefit of and use by LGBTQ visitors and residents of Flagstaff and Northern Arizona.  They have adopted a Flagstaff street for clean-up, and have raised funds to support the Second Chance Animal Shelter.
	PRISM -- People Respecting Individuals and Sexual Minorities This is a student LGBTQ group at Northern Arizona University.
